Interview of Aunt

Aunt
  1. what aspects of life must be adapted to in order to accept the reality of life after 55?
    that life can get boring due to not having energy or the want to go out and try new things. plus having to change values to adapt to life style.
  2. how does an elderly person keep a positive attitude realizing they didn't achieve a childhood dream? it isnt really that hard due to establishing new goals to achieve. it was difficult at first but after i was about 57 i was able to move on from childhood dreams,
  3. what lifestyle changes must be made in order to maintain a meaningful lifestyle as a person ages? i had to learn to eat more healthy due to having health problems such as cancer and this taught me to cherish everyday that i was living and apprieciating how to live life to the fullest.
  4. how do elderly people adapt to the vast changes in world culture?
    they have to adjust lifestyle to the social norms of present day life. i did it by just going along with how society had been changing. when things like segregation ended i learned how not to be the oddball by changing to a new and what i thaught was improved my of life.
  5. is there a common situation that elderly people try convey to younger people? yes because many youth/teenages go through similar life obsecles that the elderly did so the elderly give messages on how to hope for the best possible outcome for a situation.
    what can elderly people do in order to keep their life stimulating and fulfilling
    it really depends on the person. for me it is spending time with my great nephew Zach and having fun at ball games and traveling.
  6. who do they most likely interact with?
    i try to pretty much balence it out between old and yound but I'd say about 85% my age and 15% youth
  7. if they have kids, how much do they check up on you?

i dont have any kids but Zach checks in pretty frequently just to see what going on.
